1. About Signalist

Signalist is developed and operated by an independent developer. It is currently a personal research project and is not operated by a registered company. The application helps its developer evaluate emerging digital-product themes using aggregated market and trend signals.

2. Information the public website collects

This informational website does not provide user accounts, forms, advertising, behavioral profiling or payment processing. It does not intentionally collect personal information from visitors. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request data, such as IP address, browser information and request timestamps, for security and delivery purposes.

3. Pinterest API data

Signalist may request aggregated Pinterest Trends and Insights keyword data, including trend keywords, relative search-interest time series and week-over-week, month-over-month or year-over-year growth metrics.

Signalist does not read Pins or boards, access private Pinterest content, collect Pinterest usernames or passwords, create or publish Pins, manage advertising campaigns, or sell or share Pinterest API data with third parties.

4. Purpose and legal use

Pinterest trend data is used only by the developer for personal market research: identifying potential original digital-product themes, evaluating season timing and preparing human-reviewed product research briefs. The data is not used to identify individuals or make decisions about individual Pinterest users.

5. Storage and retention

The dashboard is local-first. Research snapshots and saved ideas may be stored on the developer’s own device. Access tokens and credentials are stored in local environment files excluded from source control. Aggregated research records are retained only while useful for longitudinal trend comparison and may be deleted by the developer at any time.

6. Data sharing

Signalist is intended for use only by its developer. Pinterest API credentials, access and retrieved API data are not shared with other users or third parties. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers only as necessary to deliver the public website or perform authorized API requests.

7. Security

The project follows data-minimization principles, requests only the access needed for its research purpose, keeps credentials outside public source code and does not collect Pinterest login credentials.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Signalist’s functionality or data access changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.

Signalist is operated by an independent developer. Contact details are supplied to Pinterest through the associated Developer Platform application record. A dedicated public project contact will be added here before any multi-user release.
